About Our Trainers

Donna McLean has loved horses since she was a child, constantly dreaming of being around horses. Her love for horses blossomed in high school, where she found she had a passion for sharing her love of horses through teaching riding lessons and showing kids the beauty of horses; the same way she felt growing up.

After high school she continued her education in West Virginia at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center. She managed one of the seven 20 stall barns on campus for the maximum time she was allowed, about 2 years altogether. In 2014, she graduated with her Riding Masters six, Teaching three, and Training One.

After graduating Donna worked as a barn manager and instructor at an eventing barn in Lebanon, Indiana for 3 years. Donna loves to teach all who are willing to learn and share the magic of horses. She is currently specializing in beginner dressage and English lessons.

She's looking forward to joining the On Point team and teaching bright new faces. When she's not teaching she enjoys riding her 11 year old Arabian cross, Scooter. They've competed in local dressage shows but are always looking to learn new things.

Jennifer Thystrup loves nothing more than a gallop on a good thoroughbred. She was bitten by the horse bug very young and has been riding ever since she was a kid.

Jen has been jumping and showing horses in Hunters for about 12 years. She has extensive experience in training green horses to jump and has a particular fondness for off the track thoroughbreds (OTTB).

She has owned two of her own and competed with both of them in the NEIGH show series and the Thoroughbred Incentive Program, winning Reserve High Point Champion in 2008 and competing at Kentucky Horse Park at the TIP Championships this past September.

When not at the barn, Jen works as a protein biochemist and hangs out with her incredibly fluffy cat.

Stacey Sheley has owned horses since 1996. Most of her riding knowledge has come from the
horses who have taught her how to listen to them.

She is well read in riding technique, stable management, equine nutrition, equine health care, has taught riding since 1998, and has been working with horses since 1985. She has been a stable manager, farrier, trainer's assistant, volunteer with a riding stable for people with disabilities, and is a skilled equine artist.

She has been certified with EAGALA since 2013 and is ARIA Level 2 Stable Manager. Go to Stacey for anything not having to do with computers or electronics. She handles things that poop.

She is the master of all and gives English Flat, Western Pleasure, and Dressage lessons.
